Samsung will turn heaven and earth to block Apple’s release of its latest iPhone in Europe and Korea. According to the South Korean gadget company, Apple poached their technology deliberately.

There is not much news as to how iPhone 5 really works, but according to Samsung, the latest iPhone operates on patented technologies they own. Apple and Samsung have been dancing a couple of legal battles of patents over the past few months.

Apple initially used Samsung on US courts last April under the premise that the former’s products have been «slavishly» copied by the Korean company. Samsung on the other hand immediately filed counter charges. Apple was successful in their injunction against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1, at least in Europe. Apple claimed that the opposing company copied patented elements of the iPad. A court in Germany on the other hand favored Samsung on the case.

Samsung said that they are actively preparing aggressive legal actions against Apple. The company is confident that their patented technologies on wireless communication standards are being used by Apple illegally. Any successful injunction against Apple could really hurt its business. Apple is currently among the largest companies in the world profiting from mobile communications. Analysts say that half of Apple’s revenue is credited to iPhone and any ruling stopping or blocking its sale can potentially cripple the company.
    
Samsung didn’t make public what it claims to be the patented technologies that Apple used. Specifications of Apple’s new iPhone on the other hand may still remain a secret but expects predicts that it will have a faster processor and improved camera among others. Others moreover predict that the new iPhone will present a radical change or improvement in smart phones since Tim Cook; the new CEO of Apple needs to make an impression.

AllThingsD, a tech blog said that Apple will launch the new phone on October 4.
