Tango, the fast growing cross-platform mobile video calling application that is available in Android and iOS is now also available in PC.

Tango currently has 23 million users spanning over more than 190 countries. Launched only a year ago, the application already made its mark among many users. It is currently being used in over 450 mobile devices, a number that is really high considering the scarcity of mobile applications for Android.

Eric Setton, Founder and CTO of Tango boasted that the users and their time spent on the application have double in the last 3 months. He also said that Tango will also be available soon on Mac. Tango currently runs on XP, Vista and Windows 7 PCs.

Tango prioritized making their app available on PC following requests from its current user base. There are more than 1.5 billion desktop users around the world and the company aims to service a huge part of that population.

The PC version of Tango is no different to that of the mobile phone version. There is no need for logging in or a password. Users only need to enter their mobile phone number and their email to activate and use the software.

Users can send invites to their friends via SMS or e-mail. Contacts need to confirm the invitation before you can make a call to them.

Tango currently sports two skins on its application, the default iPhone looking design and the minimalist feature very similar to basic Instant Messengers interface.

The service provided by the company is currently free. But Tango says that they will offer paid options in the near future. This option would probably included file sharing, fast dialing and other user-friendly features.
